Vivian Chan

Emergency & Critical Care

Vivian graduated from The University of Melbourne before joining the VRH team in 2016 as a rotating intern. After discovering a strong interest in emergency and critical care (ECC), she completed an ECC specific internship while also working in general practices across Melbourne. Vivian became a full time ECC clinician in 2018 and successfully passed her ANZCVS Membership examination in emergency and critical care in July 2019. Apart from clinical work, Vivian is also the Well-Being Coordinator at VRH after developing a keen interest in improving the mental and physical health and overall well-being of both shift workers and veterinary professionals. She plays an active role in organising a combination of social, educational and wellness activities and training workshops for the VRH team. In her spare time, Vivian loves to travel around the world and is always busy planning her next adventure – both for leisure and as a volunteer vet overseas. She also loves hiking, swim teaching, HIIT training and learning more about mental health, sleep nutrition, food nutrition and psychology. At work, Vivian is also known for having a special love for greyhounds and is hoping to own another one in the near future.
